Oh my fucking GOD, if I hear one more person say this shitty statement. People please use some common sense, sometimes, YES…. YES it does hurt to ask. You are not entitled to anything in this world! Maybe it is because I was raised in the deep south and we were taught to think before you speak and what manners actually look like, but sometimes it does hurt to ask. I think a few of you all need to read Mrs. Manners to be perfectly honest, it would do you all a world of good. Plus you would learn some common courtesy too.
Just think about it for a second maybe you are getting something already for a good deal or maybe even no cost at all don’t ask for anything more that is just RUDE! Honestly what you should do before asking someone for anything is think about the impact on them first, but that is not anything that our society ever considers anymore. Today it is all about a ME FIRST POV and to hell with you scenario. Thinking of others or “having empathy”, is a kind of consideration isn’t just polite it’s VERY rare these days, and it could be the difference between a request that opens doors for you or closes them permanently. For that reason I would implore more people to really think before they speak, and give this social ideal of it doesn’t hurt to ask a rest or permanent vacation. For those of us that can shut you down with a well coached southern version of “nasty nice no”which will happen in such a way you probably won’t even realize it and then you will never be able to achieve that particular goal you were hoping for again we wish you well. Another perspective it is makes you look like “a little piggy”, which a lot of you motherfuckers are, so there is that little nugget. Especially if in the scenario you have already been given a really fair, a good deal or gift of special means. To ask for more or an additional portion to what you have already been gifted or given beyond the basics, in most cultures in viewed as disrespectful and greedy. Now don’t get me started on how greed is one of the seven deadly sins; with the other six being pride, envy, wrath, gluttony lust and sloth. I am not a dumbass bible thumper, but these are just the basics, so if you assholes have ever cracked the thing open and read it for yourselves you might at least recognize that part.
Finally it all comes back to this fucked up entitlement ideal that everyone seems to think they are owed something on this God forsaken rock. No you are owed anything except death and taxes; I covered this already in the Entitled Much post but apparently the losers in the back of the room need a quick recap. No one owes you anything, you gotta earn it asshat, the rest of us did; so while you are probably still living in parents house and mooch off them maybe you should go make something of yourself. We don’t care if you are a mechanic, retail shop manager, animal control officer or garbage truck driver just go get a job and do it with an ounce of dignity- meaning act like you care, even if you don’t. Hell be an Amazon driver we need a gazillion of those the way people order stuff, just don’t be a a crappy door dasher that smokes a douche flute eats other peoples French fries okay.
