What do you see when you look into the mirror? Are you happy with who you are? Do see an aging version of yourself that you are fighting to keep young? Today’s society of woman are constantly fighting to regain their youth, whether it be via bottled potions or plastic surgeries, so I am musing about the validity and value of this process today.
I personally have never put much stock into these modern day snake oils and quick fixes to hold off the inevitable. While I know many folks that can not seem to stop from having procedures done on themselves; until they look like circus clowns or things from Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museums. Many of which reside in Hollywood to this very day, and some right next door.
I will say I have had some of my frenemies suggest that I look as if I have had Botox treatments at various times, or even lap band when I have lost massive amounts of weight. Well no I have not done either, since botulism is not really my thing and I love to drink using straws, which you can’t do after lap band, friends. That is your dead give away right there people, just watch all those that remove straws from drinks; no they are not environmentalists, they are instant lap band recipients. Not me I love my Yeti too much, and I can not have a drink spill on my Italian leather car seats! Another giveaway when you have lap band is that your hair really thins and it makes your skin crapey or wrinkly look really old due to the malnutrition of your body.
Which is why another there is another fun trend that started in the shadows of the Hollywood hills called stem cell treatments, to keep you looking forever young. These come from injecting stem cells, usually harvested from babies, which could be aborted babies or unpaid for stem cells storage, from what I hear on the down low. Some how I imagine the people are just taking one problem to fix another at this point, all in the same office. Maybe it goes down like, “Hello Ms. Smith today we will be harvesting your 6 week old fetus stem cells to push into your (butt ugly) face”. Again, I personally have never had this type of treatment, so this is only water cooler hearsay on how these bitches are keeping themselves ageless. However if you are a basic, in the real world doing lap band without access to these other types of treatments it is going to show, all over your sad “old” face.
I even personally know several women that are undergoing breast cancer testing to find the BRCA genes to validate mastectomy’s for full removals only to have implants or as they are calling it “their brand new boob jobs covered by insurance”. First of all this is insurance fraud, second you are making yourselves into fem-bots, and probably going to lose your nipples in the process; not to mention the ugly shadow you cast on those that are truly sick and suffering with cancer. You should be ashamed! Taking control of your destiny, that is utter bullshit when you say you are just playing the system to get new boobs. There is a place in hell for you!
As I have mentioned before, when I was young I almost went into the field of modeling and acting, but I just saw too much too early on and course corrected. This was part of the horror of never being good enough, that I walked away from, but now it has trickled down into mainstream society with our “everyone deserves to be a rock star” mentality. Body shaming videos which talk about not doing it, which subliminally just make you think even more about it, when you say that you don’t. Some size 2 or 4 talking about this while a size 10 or 12 watches in shame. Marilyn Monroe was a size 10 and beautiful.
However, then I look at society and photos for a minute and really start to think. I see pictures of people that are my age and most of them look pretty good for our age. Then, I see people 10 years younger and they look my age; and I think well maybe life has been harder on them, maybe they do need the extra help. Is just genetics or how people choose to live these days? The term “rode hard and put up wet” comes to mind a lot when I think of certain people. Addictions with drugs, smoking and alcohol of course show up all over peoples inflammation covered faces, and those are hardest to hide in the grand scheme of ageing and not taking care of ones self. So maybe it really is more about how you have lived, and you should just own it. Every line tells a story about you, whether it be good or bad.
Could You Please Pass The Botox,
